House System
Our school endeavors to develop all round personality of its students. It offers opportunity for participation in a wide range of co-curricular activities, hobbies and interests of various groups. Students are required to participate in some of the activities of their choice compulsorily for overall development of their mental attitude. For this, a concept of ‘houses’ has been devised.
Our Four Houses And Corresponding Uniform Colors
Every student on admission is placed in one of these houses.
Each house is headed by one boy and one girl known as house captains. Two members ( one male & one Female) of teachers assisted by several other teachers from each house acts as the House Master and House Mistress respectively.. Points are awarded to the students throughout the year for extra curricular activities, games and sports. At the end of the year the house gaining the highest number of points is declared the winner/ Cock House. Inter house competitions are organized in Sports, Dramatics, Debates, Quiz and Art & Craft.
House Uniform
Students are divided into four Houses. The dress code for all the houses is White Trousers / Divided Skirt with white shoes and socks along with a T-shirt of the house colour and Steel Grey Kurta and same color Salwar and Dupattas of the house color (class 7th upwards for Girls) with white shoes and socks.
Guidance And Counselling
RRMPS has started a regular programme on career counseling which includes individual counseling and Personality Development programme for the students. This programme builds self-esteem, self-confidence, communication skills, team synergy and leadership skills. The career counseling is done by the experts from time to time, who conducts aptitude tests and personal interviews to help student choose their subject from amongst various options viz. Science, Arts and Commerce and later on to choose a career.
Students of RRRMPS are provided with professional Guidance – cum – counseling by top – notch career experts. The Career Guidance Programme is run for students from classes VI to XII.
Good career planning is must for opting a particular profession. Awareness of ‘True’ motivation, aspiration, strengths, likes & dislikes, limitations and weaknesses are essential. This awareness must be as specific as possible. It must be backed by sincere efforts and achievements along with desirable change in behavioral patterns and if required, supplemented by objective test results (only by qualified and experienced Counselors).When a student chooses a career, he has to consider the following things from life – power, money, status, discipline, command or challenge. Interest in the job is absolutely vital for growth in any profession.
School management is very attentive and serious towards helping students prepare for a great future. For the purpose school management conduct career counseling workshop for the students and as well as their parents on the regular basis.
Career Counseling Workshop was conducted for our class XII- students of Sc. and Commerce stream on Feb 6, 2010. It was started at 9.00 a m sharp in the school Auditorium. Mr. Thyagrajan, Chief Strategist with his team member Mr. Hari Prasad gave a good presentation for students and their parents. Workshop was conducted in two rounds –in first round Mr. Hari Prasad delivered a Motivational lecture and presented in an effective way a variety of new courses which they can opt after class XII.
In the second round Aptitude Test was conducted. This test consisted of 46 questions comprising Three Sections. It was a 30 minutes test to test the aptitude of the students. After evaluation students were given suggestion which fields they can opt after being successful in class XII Board Examination? Ample opportunities are waiting for them. During the workshop parents also asked several questions and the expert team answered to their full satisfaction.
Medical Care
Proper medical care is available to students at all time on 24×7 basis. Regular health check ups are conducted by qualified doctors and health records are kept meticulously. Healthy living incase of school children is the prime concern of all stakeholders including principal, parents, teachers and the community. To achieve this objective collective responsibility needs to be assumed.
An important dimension is that of experience and development of health skills and physique through practical engagements with play, exercises, sports and practices of personal and community hygiene. Health and Wellness clubs in School would focus on the overall well being comprising emotional, social, and mental health of the child. It would act as the enabling of organizational point for conducting activities related to various dimensions of health and wellness.
Transport
All students need to make their own arrangements. The school management neither providing any kind of bus or transport services nor collecting fee for transport services from students / parents from very beginning.
